Sky improves BAME representation across entertainment channels

Sky has reported interim results from its tracking of BAME inclusivity both on screen and behind the camera across its entertainment channels. In the 12 months to the end of September 2019, BAME representation on screen was 31%, well ahead of Sky’s published target of 20%. The Carlsberg Group reported solid progress towards the sustainability targets of its Together Towards ZERO programme, emphasising the importance of collaboration with local partners and global experts across the value chain. Subtitles campaign launched as deaf children miss out on cinema

Thousands of deaf children across the UK are missing out on going to the cinema because films aren’t being shown with subtitles, the National Deaf Children’s Society says. According to its new research with 621 parents of deaf children, 85% revealed that their child struggles to go the cinema because they can’t find screenings with subtitles.
