CIPR opens applications for 2022 Research Fund

The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) has opened its 2022 Research Fund for applications following a successful launch last year. Launched in 2021 under then-President, Mandy Pearse, the Fund awards grants of up to £2000 to CIPR members at any stage of their careers to conduct independent PR research to support the critical research of PR practice, in line with the CIPR Royal Charter and five-year strategy. Applications will be decided by members of the CIPR’s Research Fund Panel. The BBC’s Award Winning 50:50 Project sees strong progress on Disability and Ethnicity representation

The BBC’s 50:50 Project has published its Impact Report 2022. The report reveals a 35 percentage point increase in BBC teams reaching their disability contributor* targets and 7 percentage point increase reaching their ethnicity targets, after 18 months of monitoring these for the first time. Since its launch in 2017, teams have measured the gender of contributors in their content. Auto Trader is first FTSE 100 to achieve Gold Carbon Literacy status

Costa Coffee to trial new recyclable, fibre lids in stores

Costa Coffee, has announced the launch of a new trial of 100% fibre lids. Made from renewable plant-based material, the lids are 100% recyclable and will be available at 150 Costa Coffee stores across the UK, until stocks last.
