A new report from the Lending Standards Board (LSB) shows the progress made by UK banks and lenders over the last 12 months in offering better accessibility support to deaf customers, one year from the launch of the LSB’s 2023 Access for d/Deaf Customers in Banking & Credit research. ICO sets out priorities to protect children’s privacy online

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is calling on social media and video-sharing platforms to improve their data protection practices so children are safer when using their services. This comes as the regulator sets out its 2024-2025 priorities for protecting children’s personal information online. New project to help young women deal with social media body image pressures

Young women navigating the complex world of body image on social media are the focus of a new project launched this week.  Researchers from the University of Portsmouth and The Girls’ Network (Portsmouth) will work together with local young women to create a ‘toolkit’, to equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to cope with potentially harmful social media content.
