EDI champions mentoring programme launched

The Chartered Institute of Fundraising’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee has today launched its EDI Champions Mentoring Programme. The programme – announced at the CIOF’s Fundraising Convention at London’s QEII Centre – intends to accelerate understandings of EDI concepts and application, improve collaboration and innovation, enhance EDI confidence and knowledge, and establish a culture of EDI accountability within volunteer groups, among other things. Climate litigation against companies is on the rise, report finds

Climate litigation against companies is on the rise according to analysis published recently by the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics and Political Science.  The report ‘Global trends in climate change litigation: 2024 snapshot’ points out that about 230 climate-aligned lawsuits have been initiated against corporations and trade associations since 2015, with more than two thirds filed since 2020.
