A new scheme from Samaritans Scotland volunteers in Edinburgh is proving to be a highlight in the diaries of city salons. Volunteers at the charity’s branch in the capital have been visiting salons with their ‘Healthy Hairdressers’ workshop, which aims to equip participants with active learning techniques and the confidence to offer appropriate support to those who may need it. Essex County Council partners with Clear Channel UK for innovative bus shelter contract

The new contract will see Clear Channel revive roadside bus infrastructure across the county.    Bus shelters across Essex are set for a major upgrade as Essex County Council signs a 10-year agreement with Clear Channel following a competitive tender process. This partnership will create a future-ready bus shelter network as the media owner replaces, maintains, upgrades, and installs roadside infrastructure throughout the county. Fairtrade award granted to largest ever number of UK universities

Twenty-two UK universities have gained Fairtrade status in recognition of their commitment to promoting ethical consumerism and pushing for fairer wages for farmers and workers. The Fairtrade University and College Award has been awarded to UK universities and colleges championing Fairtrade since 2003, and this year’s cohort is the biggest yet.
