Lloyds delivers third green retrofit loan, accelerating social housing transformation across the UK

Lloyds has delivered a third green retrofit loan so far this year marking a significant milestone in its mission to improve the sustainable upgrade of the UK’s social housing stock. Building on an existing relationship between Lloyds and leading housing provider VIVID, a new loan agreement of £50 million has been secured to fund the sustainable retrofit of around 2,000 homes across Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and West Sussex. UK research shows heat pumps could cut emissions, lower bills, and help balance electricity demand, keeping homes warm and easing pressure on the grid. The Hague becomes first Dutch city to ban steel slag

The Hague has become the first city in the Netherlands to ban the use of steel slag in public space. The material, a by-product of steel production, has long been sold under the name Duomix and widely used in roadbuilding and other construction projects across the country. Each year, the LEGO Group tracks and reports its absolute Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions in accordance with the internationally recognised Greenhouse Gas Protocol framework. This includes emissions from direct operations, purchased energy, and other activities involved in making and selling LEGO® products, reported as Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
