World Food Prize Foundation Names Four Innovate for Impact Finalists

In celebration of the World Food Prize’s 40th anniversary, the World Food Prize Foundation has expanded this year’s Innovate for Impact Challenge from three finalists to four, adding a special fourth prize for 2026. The four finalists will compete for $130,000 in total prizes: $65,000 for first place, $50,000 for second place, $10,000 for third place and $5,000 for fourth place. £1.5m grant fund launched to support older carers experiencing financial hardship

National charity Independent Age is distributing £1.5 million in funding to projects supporting carers aged over 65 who are living on a low income. The focus for this round of Independent Age’s Older People’s Fund is on improving access to community-based and in-person advice for older carers on a low income, which can make a significant difference to their financial wellbeing. Grassroots football clubs secure funding for green projects thanks to Unity Trust Bank and Birmingham County FA

Ten grassroots football clubs in the West Midlands have been awarded green project funding after Birmingham County Football Association (BCFA) teamed up with Unity Trust Bank.
