Lucy Graham, Recycle Now Marketing Manager, said “2026 has been a huge year for recycling with new and incoming policy and packaging changes. In September – six months after Simpler Recycling came into effect in England – we’ll be turning attention onto another key piece of the puzzle, helping people to recycle better.

“As the UK’s biggest recycling moment, we’ve released our campaign toolkit to help everyone get ready. This year we’re continuing the theme of Rescue Me, Recycle! But you’ll spot a friendly new face joining the line-up of commonly binned items that can be recycled – Neil the Peel – alongside familiar characters.”

Recycle Week runs 14 to 20 September and has been running annually for twenty-two years.
