Alastair Campbell to speak at free PRCA mental health event

Writer, communicator and strategist Alastair Campbell will join a special virtual PRCA event on mental health on Friday, 2nd October.

A former director of communications and strategy for No 10, Alastair has been a consistent campaigner for better mental health services, awareness and understanding.

The PRCA’s latest research indicates 9 out of 10 (89%) of PR professionals have struggled with their mental health at some point over the past year.

In his new book, ‘Living Better’, Alastair writes not just about his own struggles with depression, but what all of us – government, business and individuals – can do to improve the mental health of the nation.

Commenting ahead of the event, PRCA Director-General, Francis Ingham MPRCA, said:

“We are grateful to Alastair for joining us for this special event. Too many PR professionals continue to struggle with their mental health. It is our collective responsibility to address the issue head-on and protect the mental health of our colleagues.”

New PRCA research revealing the impact of the pandemic of the industry’s mental health will be published on 8th October.
