CAS offers help to EU Settlement applicants

Citizens Advice Scotland has responded to the news that 50,000 people in Scotland have applied to the EU Settlement scheme, seeking leave to remain in Scotland after Brexit.

CAS Chief Executive Derek Mitchell said,

“We are pleased that so many people are applying to the scheme. We have helped many of these people through the process, but we think there may be many more who would like to apply but don’t know how to go about it.

“The Scottish CAB network runs a special service offering free assistance to any EU, EEA or Swiss person in Scotland who wants to stay here after Brexit. We will explain how the EU Settlement scheme works and help you through the application process. You can get our help  at your local Citizens Advice Bureau or by calling our helpline on 0800 916 9847.”
