Clayton Launches Season of Giving Storytelling Campaign

Housebuilder Clayton, has launched a social media and video campaign that highlights the importance of giving back to those in need.

The “Season of Giving” campaign shares stories from the experiences of Clayton team members giving back to their communities and fellow team members in need. Clayton’s 40 home building facilities and nearly 350 home centers across the nation are encouraged to share how they are giving back through their social media channels in hopes to inspire others. The campaign will run during the globally recognized, Giving Tuesday, which takes place the Tuesday after Black Friday on Nov. 28.

The storytelling campaign includes personal experiences from team members such as building a ramp for a team member’s wife, volunteering with a local school for autistic children and supporting a special needs football team.

“One of Clayton’s guiding principles is that we will leave the world a better place than we found it,” CEO Kevin Clayton expressed. “We are encouraging our team members and our customers to donate their money or volunteer their time to helping a good cause. We hope through this storytelling effort that we can inspire others to do the same.”

Approximately 63 million Americans volunteer their time, talents and energy to important causes each year. Clayton team members have the opportunity to contribute a portion of their income to a company fund designed to assist team members who experience unexpected tragedies or to a nonprofit organization.

“We know providing affordable housing is an important cause, but there are other opportunities to make a direct impact in a community,” Clayton said. “Whether it’s donating your time, money or expertise, there are many ways for people to contribute to making the world a better place, especially as we head into this holiday season.”
