ICAP, part of TP ICAP group, the world’s largest interdealer broker, is pleased to announce that its 25th annual global Charity Day will be held on Tuesday, 5 December 2017. On this day, 100% of the revenues and commissions ICAP generates globally are donated to more than 100 charities worldwide.
Thanks to the efforts of ICAP’s staff, customers and suppliers, Charity Day has raised almost £135 million for more than 2,200 charities worldwide since it was launched in December 1993. In 2016 alone, £8.2 million was raised by ICAP’s 60-plus offices globally for over 200 charitable projects.
Charity Day will again be raising funds for another 100 charities globally this year, of which 12 are based in the UK. It is the first Charity Day since ICAP became part of the TP ICAP group on December 30, 2016.
On 5th December, these charities will be joined by their celebrity patrons at ICAP’s offices around the world, speaking directly to ICAP’s customers on the phone, boosting trading volumes in the process.
This year, Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Cornwall will be attending Charity Day in London in support of Medical Detection Dogs, of which The Duchess is a patron. The full list of celebrities attending will be announced on the day.
His Royal Highness Prince Harry, Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex, Rio Ferdinand, Samantha Bond, Simon Cowell, Rory Bremner, Ruth Wilson, Molly King and Myleene Klass, were just a few of the many distinguished UK guests to have lent their support to ICAP and its charities in 2016.
The full list of attending celebrities for 2017 will be revealed on Charity Day. In previous years in the US, Seth Rogan, Blake Lively, Naomi Campbell, Tom Hardy, Prince Harry, Olivia Culpo, Pedro Martinez, Rachel Dratch, and Peyton Manning were just a few of the many notable guests to have lent their support to ICAP and its charitable partners.

“This year, a further 12 UK charities will benefit directly from the funds we raise in London on Charity Day, with 50% of the funds being focused towards social mobility, something that I am extremely passionate about. I hope we can help support and empower people from all walks of life, regardless of their background or circumstances. ICAP has helped change the lives of thousands of people over the past quarter of a century, and I’m delighted that we have continued this proud tradition.”
