Marias vs. Maria, is a new iniative by global creative agency The Community. It is a hurricane relief campaign spearheaded by The Community, donates all proceeds to Unidos por Puerto Rico – an initiative brought forth by the First Lady of Puerto Rico, Beatriz Rosselló, in collaboration with the private sector, with the purpose of providing aid and support to those affected in Puerto Rico by the passage of the recent hurricanes that is not a client of the community.
Maria vs. Maria invites all those who carry the name “Maria” to come together and help Puerto Rico bounce back from the hurricane’s damage, showing that the millions of Marias around the world together can have more impact than Hurricane Maria.
To make it happen, the agency created a website that calls all Marias to join the movement by donating $1.00 spreading the word to other Marias by sharing or tagging them in their social media channels. However, everyone – regardless of name – can take part in helping restore the island.
