MuslimGiving have removed the 5% platform fee for anyone fundraising on the platform. By dropping the platform fee, MuslimGiving will not charge charities in the UK or our global charity partners. Our supporters will raise even more money for great causes. This will enable millions of users to raise funds for causes they are passionate about with zero platform fees.
MuslimGiving’s research indicates that supporters prefer to make contributions online rather than in cash. In response, more charities are integrating technology and fundraising platforms into their fundraising strategies and providing supporters with simpler ways to donate.
Jilu Miah, CEO of MuslimGiving, said: “At MuslimGiving, we are humbled by what we have collectively achieved, raising millions of pounds for great causes. Giving has evolved and grown over the years, so it is only natural that our approach evolves too.
Our announcement today represents one of the most significant milestones in our journey. In a short space of time, we have grown to be a trusted platform in the UK.
We always want to add more value to everything we do, thus by removing the 5% platform fee, we plan to help charities and supporters even more.”
Removing the platform fees for charities was driven by the changes made earlier this year to eliminate platform fees for individual CrowdGiving pages. MuslimGiving welcomes supporters to make voluntary contributions to support the platform’s operations. As MuslimGiving continues to grow and develop online giving, it will continue to invest in innovation to make it easier for the global community to give.
