PRCA Launches Emerging Markets Group

The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) is delighted to announce the launch of The Emerging Market Group, co-chaired by Eleanor Kramers and George Morris Seers of FTI Consulting.

The Emerging Markets Group will provide a forum for like-minded PR and public affairs professionals working both in, with and alongside frontier and emerging markets. The Group will provide a useful knowledge pool to inform innovative communications strategies that account for the range of niche and complex demands of these economies, as well as the journalists covering them.

The Group will be launching a series of Regional Roundtables throughout the year, kicking off with a regional focus throughout the year, starting with an event focus on Latin America in September.

Eleanor Kramers, FTI Consulting, commented: “Emerging markets provide an invigorating range of challenges and opportunities for PR professionals. Whether working in those markets themselves, presenting a client to the western media, or communicating an investment in an unfamiliar location, practitioners will benefit from shared experience among like-minded individuals. George Morris Seers, FTI Consulting added: ”As the world becomes ever more interconnected, there has never been a better time for communications professionals to enhance their knowledge of emerging and frontier markets. The issues organisations face in these markets are often complex and multi-faceted. The aim of this group is to share experiences and learn from others in an engaging and valuable way. We are delighted to be launching the PRCA’s Emerging Markets Group and look forward to the first session in September.”

Eleanor is a specialist in emerging markets and has extensive experience implementing multi-faceted communications strategies for individuals and corporates. A Russian speaker, Eleanor has advised multiple individual and corporates in the region on their unique communications needs. Prior to becoming a PR practitioner, Eleanor was a corporate investigator, experience she leverages specifically in crisis, dispute and litigation communications.

George has 7 years of experience advising organisations across Europe, the Middle East and Latin America on their reputation and communication strategies. A French, Portuguese and Spanish speaker, he spent most of his early career working for a leading Latin American public affairs agency, both in Brazil and London. His current focus is on UK and international public affairs with particular emphasis on the energy, transport and leisure sectors.
