ICO urges all app developers to prioritise privacy

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is reminding all app developers to ensure they protect users’ privacy, following the regulator’s review of period and fertility apps.  Last year, the ICO looked closely at period and fertility apps to understand how they process personal data and identify whether there is any negative impact on users as a result. The Prince’s Trust NatWest Youth Index 2024 , released recently, finds one in five (21 per cent) young people in the UK have missed school or work in the past year due to their mental health. IPA publishes Agency Census 2023

The IPA has published its 2023 Agency Census revealing that overall staff numbers within IPA agency membership have increased marginally year-on-year. According to the 2023 IPA Agency Census, now in its 64th year, total employee numbers within IPA member agencies have stabilised and, as of 1 September 2023, stand at 26,630 This represents a marginal rise of 1.3% from the 26,290 recorded in 2022.
