Samaritans Scotland’s Aberdeen branch has teamed up with Cala Homes to create a short film to help increase awareness of mental health issues and the construction industry. The ‘Constructing Healthy Minds’ film was produced by Samaritans volunteers with Cala Homes (North) and Pink Sphynx Media, with funding from LNER’s Customer and Community Investment Fund. Scottish firms less likely to report skills shortages compared with UK, but businesses lack confidence in AI and green technologies
New data from this year’s Business Barometer report published by The Open University in partnership with the British Chambers of Commerce, has found that over half (56%) of Scottish organisations are still reporting worrying skills shortages. The annual report, monitoring the current UK skills landscape, highlighted more than half of Scottish businesses (56%) are reporting skills shortages. New research from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) highlights the issues keeping marketers up at night in 2024. The latest Impact of Marketing report suggests that progress on diversity and inclusion is stalling with 44% of respondents stating that their team has not become more diverse within the last 12 months.
