Amazon have invented a shock-proof, lightweight paper envelope in the UK that’s designed to be recycled at home. As part of our commitment to avoiding unnecessary packaging wherever possible, Amazon scientists and engineers worked with packaging industry expert Mondi to develop a new paper-padded envelope with shock-absorbent, paper-based lining. According to a recent Amazon-commissioned study of 2,000 British shoppers, two in three (66%) people would prefer to buy products that have a more positive environmental and social impact, although the same number struggle to identify them, due to confusing product labelling. This autumn, the world’s first commercial seaweed farm will open within the Hollandse Kust Zuid (HKZ) wind farm, located approximately 18 kilometers off the coast between The Hague and Zandvoort in the North Sea.
