New data shows companies recognising biodiversity risks but majority not turning commitments into action

A majority of companies worldwide are not translating commitments on biodiversity to action, according to new data released today by CDP, the not for profit which runs the world’s environmental disclosure system for companies. This is in spite of promising findings, which show corporate readiness to disclose on biodiversity, as governments prepare to negotiate mandatory environmental disclosure next week at the momentous COP15 summit in Montreal. G7 firms failing Paris agreement on 2.7°C warming path

Global leaders will meet in Sharm el-Sheikh in November to keep the Paris agreement’s 1.5°C target alive, but climate ambition in G7 economies and beyond is putting the COP27 vision out of reach, according to new analysis by non-profit CDP and global management consultancy Oliver Wyman.
