English Heritage breathes new life into endangered heritage skills with ground-breaking apprenticeship programme

A ground-breaking heritage apprenticeship programme, designed to pass the dying skill of flint-working to a younger generation, was announced today by English Heritage, following a major donation of £11.2m to the charity from the Hamish Ogston Foundation.  This is the largest donation ever received by English Heritage. Airbnb donates £1.25 million to support heritage tourism in England

Airbnb has made a £1.25 million donation to English Heritage, supporting the charity’s conservation and repair of historic houses, castles, abbeys and other ancient sites in its care. Conservation Charities & Agencies combine forces to tackle the impact of climate change on the UK’s heritage

Seven UK organisations have announced a new partnership to help tackle the impact of climate change on historical sites and our cultural heritage, and to share expertise.
