Several universities in the UK have received the latest Fairtrade University and College Award, in recognition of their commitment to promoting ethical consumerism and pursuing trade justice for farmers and workers in low-income countries. The Fairtrade University and College Award requires students to engage significantly in social outreach and to work collaboratively with one another, and with their institution, to achieve the accolade.
