Aldi UK is partnering with the Fairtrade Foundation on the next stage of a £400,000 programme to support women in the Ethiopian flower sector to improve their lives. The programme is intended to tackle some of the systemic challenges they face. Aldi is the second largest retailer of Fairtrade flowers in the UK. Fairtrade producers across Latin America and the Caribbean have planted more than 300,000 trees in a six-month tree-planting drive, with more than 100 Fairtrade organizations across 20 countries getting involved.
