Localgiving to award over £200,000 to Local Charities through Magic Little Grants Fund

Localgiving has launched its Magic Little Grants 2018 fund (thanks to funding from Postcode Community Trust, a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery) to provide grants of £500 to small, local charities and community groups across Great Britain. This fund will provide local charities and community groups with unrestricted funding to deliver engaging sports and physical activities which help to overcome barriers to participation and increase social cohesion. £4,000 in prizes to be won in Localgiving’s Small Charity Week Challenge

To celebrate Small Charity Week 2018, Localgiving is launching the Small Charity Week Challenge. Running between Monday 18th June and Sunday 24th June, this campaign aims to highlight the amazing, and wide ranging causes that local charities and community groups support. Localgiving report finds local charities fearful of their long term survival

On Thursday the 26th of April, key voluntary sector bodies including NCVO, IoF, DCMS, SCC, Lloyds Foundation and DSC gathered at the headquarters of the Sage Foundation,  to debate the findings of Localgiving’s latest Local Charity and Community Group Sustainability Report. This April Localgiving is putting the spotlight on individual fundraisers in its Local Hero campaign.
