Hasbro to Phase Out Plastic from New Toy and Game Packaging

Hasbro, Inc. has announced that, beginning in 2020, it plans to begin phasing out plastic from new product packaging, including plastic elements like polybags, elastic bands, shrink wrap, window sheets and blister packs. Unilever has announced the launch of the first wrapper-less ice-cream multipack for Solero Organic Peach, with 35% less plastic compared to the original Solero Organic pack with individual plastic wrappers. Sainsbury’s makes further bold commitments to cut plastic packaging

Sainsbury’s will end the use of dark coloured plastics (which are difficult to recycle) across fresh foods by the end of 2019 and entirely by March 2020 as well as remove all plastic packaging from Christmas crackers this year.
