A £7 million investment in packaging equipment at Wellpark Brewery sees Tennent’s well on its way to eradicating single use plastic from consumer packaging. Tesco To Cut Plastic In Fresh Chicken Packaging

Tesco is announcing that from next year it will stop using plastic trays to pack its fresh, whole chickens.  The supermarket will start by removing the tray and film from 16 million of its own brand medium, large and extra-large chickens, and replace it with a single bag. Morrisons has asked its branded suppliers to help fight the war on plastic, as part of its commitment to reduce the amount of the material in its stores and supply chain operations. Waitrose makes canny move with the removal of plastic on all tinned multibuy food

Waitrose will accelerate efforts to stamp out single use plastic by ending the use of multibuy shrinkwrap on millions of own label tinned grocery products.
