The Public Relations and Communications Association’s (PRCA’s) Apprenticeship programme has been rated Outstanding in all areas following its first Ofsted inspection. PRCA calls for fair pay and equal access to internships

The PRCA welcomes the Sutton Trust’s research and supports urgent action to address inequities in internships. It is unacceptable that 61% of internships remain unpaid or underpaid, disproportionately disadvantaging working-class graduates and widening access gaps. The PRCA believes that internships must offer meaningful learning opportunities, structured mentorship, and equal access, to build a more diverse and inclusive industry. The PRCA has appointed Sarah Waddington CBE as CEO in an interim role until June 2025. Waddington is a professional advisor and non-executive director with Wadds Inc., co-founder and director of Socially Mobile and a former president of the CIPR.
