Applications are open today for Purina Europe’s BetterwithPets Prize (BWPP). Nestlé Purina Petcare Europe is calling for organizations and social entrepreneurs who help improve the health and wellbeing of people in vulnerable situations to apply for the prize. Pets Revealed as the UK’s Hidden Support Network

A poll of 2,000 adults who have a cat or dog found their four-legged friends regularly help them out when they’re feeling down. They claim pets have helped improve their mood when they’ve been ill (47 per cent), after a bad day at work (39 per cent) and following an argument (22 per cent). Nearly 900 pets ‘kept in loving homes’ thanks to Purina and RSPCA partnership

More than £75,000 of veterinary treatments have already been provided to owners in need thanks to an innovative partnership between the RSPCA and petcare company Purina.  The charity’s frontline inspectorate and Purina have teamed up to help struggling owners through the cost-of-living crisis.  The ‘Better Together Fund’ – which formally launched in October last year – enables RSPCA officers to issue pet care vouchers to members of the public for specific urgent veterinary and pet care treatments, thanks to generous funding from Purina.  Those in receipt of vouchers are identified…

Purina partners with pet charities and FareShare to help people struggling to feed their pets

Purina has joined forces with national animal charities, other food companies and FareShare to help owners in need to feed their hungry pets in the face of the cost-of-living crisis.   Dogs Trust, RSPCA, Battersea and Cats Protection are working together with industry body UK Pet Food to secure food from pet food manufacturers, which is then distributed all over the UK through FareShare, the UK’s largest charity fighting hunger and food waste.    To date, the programme has received 43,621 kilograms of pet food, the equivalent of more than 304,000 meals…
