SSE announces £12.5bn Net Zero Acceleration Programme

SSE has unveiled an ambitious £12.5bn (net) capital investment plan to accelerate progress towards net zero. SSE and National Grid pilot project to use electricity transformers to heat homes

SSE Energy Solutions and National Grid have today unveiled an innovative new project that could decarbonise heat networks, capturing waste heat from electricity transformers to generate hot water and space heating for homes and businesses.
