Water Companies vow to protect rare chalk streams

Thames Water, Anglian Water, Affinity Water and Southern Water have vowed to invest millions of pounds to protect the country’s chalk streams by reducing the amount of water they abstract from them for public drinking supply and cutting pollution. Kidney patients sign up for extra Thames Water care

A new partnership between Thames Water and the National Kidney Federation charity has helped almost 350 people register for extra support should their water supply be interrupted. Thames Water has become one of the first utility companies to sponsor social media influencers to deliver key messaging and advice to its customers. The company worked alongside more than 30 fitness, parenting and food bloggers to spread the message of water efficiency, reaching more than 2.8 million people over the 150-day campaign.
