Waitrose & Partners is helping open the conversation on mental health in Britain’s agriculture sector by sponsoring a series of talks hosted by the Farming Community Network (FCN). Waitrose & Partners has become the first UK supermarket to achieve ‘Fine to Flush’ certification for its own label wet wipes.   Waitrose fragrance-free moist toilet tissue refills and Waitrose lightly fragranced moist toilet tissue refills will now be certified as ‘Fine to Flush’, the standard introduced in January this year by Water UK, which represents water companies across the country.  The two products, which are both plastic-free, are available in stores from today and packs will soon carry the ‘Fine to Flush’ logo. Waitrose & Partners is launching coloured packaging made from recycled plastic for its ready meals.  The new trays, made predominantly from mixed coloured PET bottles and trays, means the packaging may be a different colour every time it is produced, depending on what is being recycled. From pink and red tones, to shades of green and blue, the new packaging is unlikely to be the same twice, meaning customers could buy their ready meal in a different colour tray every time they shop. Waitrose Unpacked refillables test to launch in more shops after positive response in Oxford

Waitrose & Partners is to extend its ‘Unpacked’ test in Oxford beyond the original end date of 18 August and has committed to introducing elements of the concept into three more shops by the end of the year, after an overwhelmingly positive response.  The retailer transformed its Botley Road shop in June taking more than 200 products out of their packaging to test how customers might be prepared to shop differently, with the aim of saving thousands of tonnes of unnecessary plastic.  The test, now into its ninth week, set…
