Unity Trust Bank appoints Philippa Moors as Charities Relationship Manager

Unity Trust Bank has announced the appointment of Philippa Moors as Charities Relationship Manager. She will further support the bank’s growing portfolio of customers in the charity sector.

The specialist role reflects Unity’s strong commitment to supporting charitable organisations through ethical and responsible finance.

With extensive experience in financial services, Philippa previously worked at Barclays Bank for 15 years as part of its Relationship Management team, supporting customers across a range of sectors including Retail & Wholesale and Hospitality & Leisure.

During a career break, Philippa set up her own business providing sustainable grocery deliveries. This gave her a unique insight into the ethical business sector and led to her current role at Unity.

With a broad understanding of the financial market, as well as her own personal experience of building a sustainable business, Philippa brings a wealth of expertise to the role, and a strong belief in the value of Unity’s relationship-based banking model.

As Charities Relationship Manager, Philippa, who is based within Unity’s North commercial team in Manchester, will lead the bank’s national strategy for charity customers and drive forward its growing portfolio.

Unity was founded by the trade union movement in 1984 to serve the common good. It reported a record level of lending in its end of year results in 2023. This exceeded £1 billion for the first time and growing 21% from the previous year. 45.3% of financing went into areas of high deprivation.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, Unity recently received the King’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development 2024 and was named in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024. Unity has a Gold standard for Investors in People and is a Real Living Wage and Disability Confident Employer. The bank is also a signatory of the Women in Finance Charter.
