Vitabiotics announces two year partnership with FareShare to help fund 110,000 meals

The UK’s number one vitamin company, Vitabiotics, has joined forces with FareShare to bolster the health and wellness of children nationwide.

Both Vitabiotics Wellkid and FareShare understand that every child should have access to the vital nutrition essential for their growth and development. To help work toward this shared goal, Vitabiotics Wellkid has funded the equivalent of 110,000 meals.

With over 14.4 million people in the UK living in relative poverty, Vitabiotics has partnered with FareShare to support our mission to prevent good-to-eat, surplus food from going to waste by redistributing it to families and children in need.

FareShare redistributes food to 8,500 local charities and community groups, more than 2,000 of which are after-school clubs or organisations that support children and their families. By supporting FareShare by funding meals, Vitabiotics Wellkid is helping to ensure vital food continues to reach children and families in local communities across the UK.

This key partnership not only represents a continuation of Vitabiotics’ commitment to corporate social responsibility, but exemplifies its proactive stance in addressing pressing societal needs.

Tej Lalvani, CEO of Vitabiotics, said: “At Vitabiotics, we believe in the power of collaboration to make a positive impact and are proud to be supporting FareShare through our Wellkid brand. FareShare is making amazing direct action towards addressing food poverty and spreading the word about the importance of good food and nutrition to communities across the UK.”

Kirsty Ford, Head of Fundraising at FareShare said: “We are so grateful to Vitabiotics for their ongoing support. The donation of so many meals for will help us get good-to-eat food, which might otherwise go to waste, to those who need it. A huge proportion of the charities within our network support children and families, and they are working harder than ever to help those impacted by the cost of living crisis. The generous support FareShare receives from Vitabiotics will make a huge difference to our mission to get food to people who need it and make a positive difference to children across the country.”

Together, we aim to shine a light on the critical role nutrition plays in children’s wellbeing and development, both physically and mentally, and inspire broader conversations and actions to support the holistic development of all children.
