Books-A-Million Brings Back Popular Coffee for the Troops Program During Military Appreciation Month

In honor of Military Appreciation Month, Books-A-Million is once again partnering with Soldiers’ Angels for its celebrated Coffee for the Troops program, running Friday, May 3 – Saturday, June 1. The bookstore makes it easy for the community to gift the comfort of coffee to the brave soldiers fighting overseas as well as veterans and patients in VA hospitals all over the nation. Customers can participate in the program by purchasing and donating a bag of Joe Muggs coffee from any Books-A-Million location. For every five bags of coffee donated by customers, Books-A-Million will donate one.

“As we begin our 13th Coffee for the Troops campaign with Soldiers’ Angels, we encourage our customers to show their support to honor the brave men and women who serve our country,” said Matt Krenza, vice president of the food division at Books-A-Million. “Each year we are overwhelmed by the amount of generous donations we receive and are humbled to be able to offer the comfort and familiarity coffee brings to the soldiers fighting for our nation.”

Since 2012, Books-A-Million has partnered with Soldiers’ Angels to donate more than 650,000 bags of coffee to veterans and VA hospitals in the United States, as well as to troops currently serving overseas. Each year, Coffee for the Troops has exceeded its donation goals thanks to the generosity of supporters all across the country.

Customers are also given the option to write a personalized message on the donated bags to express their appreciation to the U.S. soldiers. To find the nearest Books-A-Million and Joe Muggs location, visit booksamillion.com/storefinder.
