DMA publishes new guidance to help increase employment rates of autistic people in the UK

DMA Talent, part of the Data & Marketing Association, has published new guidance, ‘DMA Talent: Autism Employer Guide’, created using insights from NHS autism specialists, brands/employers, and autistic employees employed across creative, data and marketing roles – the UK’s first. Schoolchildren code the adverts live on the world famous Piccadilly Lights

Pupils experimenting with code and technology livestreamed their adverts onto the world famous Piccadilly Lights in London on October 24. Supported by BT, the London school children used a coding app on a tablet to live stream their avatars directly onto the large format Piccadilly screen, changing the words and tinkering with the code in real time as their individual avatars took over the entire big display. John Lewis & Partners tests blueprint to encourage customers to ‘reduce, reuse and return’ packaging

John Lewis & Partners has launched a major pilot at its Oxford shop to encourage a ‘reduce, reuse & return’ culture among customers which could provide a blueprint for other shops.  The pilot will test eight ways in which the retailer and its customers can reduce their impact on the planet, potentially saving thousands of tonnes of plastic and packaging from going to landfill.    In a first for a department store, the shop has removed 5p plastic carrier bags to reduce the amount of plastic it produces.  The retailer…
