UNESCO Launches the first Call for the Global Media Defence Fund

UNESCO seeks partners in promoting media freedom, to be supported under the Global Media Defence Fund, established thanks to the initiative of the governments of the United Kingdom and Canada, within the framework of their Global Campaign for Media Freedom. Vattenfall and AG Barr sign renewable electricity agreement in the UK

Vattenfall has signed a 10-year electricity supply contract with the UK based soft drink and consumer goods company AG Barr. According to the corporate power purchase agreement (CPPA), Vattenfall will introduce 100% renewable electricity across AG Barr’s all sites in the UK. Vattenfall will supply AG Barr, manufacturer of leading soft drinks brands including IRN-BRU and Rubicon, with 22GWh electricity per year from Vattenfall’s wind farms in the UK – the equivalent used by 6000 UK homes annually. Act On Plastic Campaign Advocates To Pass Legislation That Would Reduce Plastic Pollution, All-Materials Waste

Plastic Oceans International is collaborating with fellow conservation nonprofit organization, Kolossal on a campaign called, Act on Plastic.
