NCVO and Centre for Ageing Better partner to increase age-friendly inclusive volunteering in England

NCVO has announced that it will partner with the Centre for Ageing Better to support its efforts to increase age-friendly inclusive volunteering in England. NCVO will do this through the delivery of training and the creation of an action learning group of ‘advocates for age-friendly inclusive volunteering’. The Carbon Trust to lead expert consortium delivering pioneering acceleration support to UK Government’s Net Zero Innovation Portfolio

As part of the UK Government’s £1bn Net Zero Innovation Portfolio (NZIP) the Carbon Trust will lead a consortium delivering acceleration support to up to 200 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). New Director-General of the International Labour Organization elected

The International Labour Organization’s (ILO) next Director-General will be Gilbert F. Houngbo from Togo. Houngbo is currently President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). He was elected by the ILO’s Governing Body, comprising representatives of governments, workers and employers, during their meeting in Geneva.
