Emissions must be reduced in the construction of buildings if the UK is to meet net zero, MPs warn

From residential to commercial buildings, the UK’s built environment is responsible for 25% of the UK’s greenhouse gas emissions. The Environmental Audit Committee (EAC) warns that to date there has been a lack of Government impetus or policy levers to assess and reduce these emissions. A survey conducted by NGO Sinergia Animal shows that 70% of companies are transitioning to cage-free egg supply chains

A new report just released by the international NGO Sinergia Animal has surveyed more than fifty food companies and highlights that 70% of them (thirty-five) are already phasing out the use of eggs produced in battery cages—a farming method that uses cages so small that animals can barely move. Which? reveals huge jump in energy-related scams as fraudsters seek to exploit cost of living crisis

As the cost of living crisis continues to put millions of households under increasing financial pressure, scammers are exploiting fear and confusion around soaring energy bills to ramp up their use of energy-related scams.
