National Grid announces £50 million energy support fund for this winter and next

National Grid has recently launched a £50 million support fund to help alleviate financial distress caused by rising energy costs. Over the next two winters, the fund will make significant donations to organisations working on the front line of the energy crisis. Tesco cuts plastic from bakery favourites and returns to selling bread loose

Tesco is rewinding the clock back to the days of traditional bakeries by removing plastic from a number of its most popular items and selling loose loaves of bread.     The moves will result in the annual removal of 33 million pieces of plastic from loaves of bread and doughnuts, and reduce the plastic used to pack breakfast pastries by more than 120 tonnes each year.    Nearly 25 of the supermarket’s in-store bakery bread lines are now being sold loose, although customers can request a paper bag should they want one.  Doughnuts…

Amazon and USAID Launch Effort to Boost Climate Funding for Women

Amazon and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) are launching a public-private partnership to address the gender inequities that exist for women in the climate finance ecosystem and support female entrepreneurs with the resources they need to accelerate climate change innovations.
