IPA announces Effectiveness Awards shortlist

Curry’s, Nationwide and Specsavers are just some of the 20 outstanding case studies that have been named on the revered IPA Effectiveness Awards 2026 shortlist. In addition to the shortlist, five case studies were bestowed Commendations by the judges for providing new learning, including around social/creator-led marketing. Analysis of the shortlist reveals: There are 15 single-market case studies, three not-for-profit and two multi-market entries. Facing major threats, six new sites join UNESCO’s List of World Heritage in Danger, three of them on an emergency basis

UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee, meeting in Busan (Republic of Korea), decided to inscribe three sites on the World Heritage List following an emergency procedure: the Boma-Badingilo Migratory Landscape (South Sudan), Mount Amel Castles (Lebanon), and Sebastia (State of Palestine). The application of the emergency procedure reflects the current context marked by numerous crises of diverse nature, including armed conflict and climate change, that are heavily affecting heritage and exposing it to serious threats. Oxfam polling reveals three quarters of UK public back Gary Lineker’s call to make him pay more tax
