Confidence Tracker: PR Industry Confidence Continues To Build

The Public Relations and Communication’s (PRCA) Confidence Tracker this week sees optimism levels rise again, with PR leaders recording a net positivity score of +61 points; up from +56 points last week, and up from +36 points when the Tracker was launched on 31st March.

Senior in-house and agency professionals were asked ‘How confident do you feel about the future of your organisation right now?’
 
The findings were as follows (findings from 21st April, 7th April, and 31st March respectively in parenthesis):
 
Very confident: 22 (24, 15 18)
Quite confident: 51 (47, 38, 36)
Neither confident nor unconfident: 15 (15, 21; 29)
Not very confident: 7 (12, 15 11)
Not confident at all: 5 (3,10; 7)
 
The data amounts to a net confidence rating of +61 (+56, +28, +36).
 
Director General Francis Ingham MPRCA, said:

“Industry leaders are increasingly confident that they can weather the maelstrom of the moment. We know from our daily conversations with them that agency and in-house heads are reconfiguring their offerings and their teams so that they deliver efficiently and in a targeted manner. These are by no means easy times, but our industry is proving itself during them”
