Emika releases new album in support of Music Minds Matter service

Electronic artist Emika’s forthcoming album ‘Falling in Love With Sadness’ will be released on October 10, World Mental Health Day, in partnership with Help Musicians UK. From the 9 September until the 10 October 2018, a portion of the proceeds from the album pre-sales will be donated to Music Minds Matter, our 24/7 dedicated mental health support line and service for the music industry.

Alongside the release, Emika is inviting people from all over the world to share their experiences of depression, anonymously and in different languages, on her website (www.emikarecords.com) to create a ‘River Of Sadness’, a lyric from the opening track of her brand new LP, and also to raise awareness of mental illness.

Christine Brown, Director of External Affairs at HMUK said:

“We’re incredibly grateful for the support from Emika and her team in raising funds for Music Minds Matter. Every penny raised will go towards providing a listening ear, emotional support, information and counselling for anyone working in music who needs it. We have already helped hundreds of people through the service and with this support, we can be a lifeline to many more.”

Emika said:

“It’s great to be part of an initiative which sees money and awareness raised for Help Musicians UK’s Music Minds Matter service, a truly worthwhile cause. This is a subject close to my heart; making this album helped me and now I want to use it to help others, and seeing it benefit the charity and its supporters will be phenomenal.”

Keep an eye out on www.emikarecords.com for details of how to pre-order the new record from 9 September.
