Latest CIPR Engage Podcast out now; Reflections on tech, diversity and entering the profession

“We need to be brought in right from the start. It’s to do with having a seat at the boardroom table to some extent, but it’s actually just to be treated with seriousness and as a real management necessity. It’s not just a benefit, it’s a necessity. We have to be there from the beginning and be able to help shape the company’s future, if you like.”
Eva Maclaine, Founder at Maclaine Communications

It has been a real privilege chairing the podcast editorial board and launching the Engage series. Thank you to everyone on the Board and those working at the CIPR who have made every episode possible.

We’ve had some phenomenal guests feature on the series to date and as my final episode as chair, I wanted to ensure we could pay tribute to the strides the profession has made, while also reflecting on some of the ongoing challenges. In conjunction with the CIPR’s 75th anniversary, the discussion explores the importance of diverse thinking and how our role as practitioners continues to evolve.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Cal, Eva, Tony and Maria for giving us their time and for sharing their experiences.

Sara-Anne Mills-Bricknell, Chair CIPR Podcast Editorial Board
