The Ministry of Health of Panama and the United Nations Population Fund launched a campaign against the consumption of “Vape” or electronic cigarettes. In Panama, the National Non-Smoking Day is celebrated on November 25, and within the framework of these activities, McCann Panama initiated a campaign revealing the poisonous components of the Vape, which are found in products unfit for human consumption.
MINSA wants young people to understand that electronic cigarette vapor contains particles of ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, propylene glycol, nitrosamines, chromium and nickel, among other toxic inputs. For this reason, McCann Panama was convened to create this campaign at the national level, which will air on Social Networks, TV and Outdoors.
“We found out that “Vapes” inputs are used in products like Nail Polish, Brake Fluid, Car Batteries, Thinners, and Paints, so we decided to create Vapes that would reveal this truth and invite consumers to experience an unboxing.” Omar Polo, the creative VP of the agency, commented.
For her part, Patricia García, the agency’s CEO, commented: “The premise was to create real content where we interview young people and show them with practical examples, the damage that is being done.”
