PRCA and UKMMA sign strategic partnership

The PRCA has forged a strategic partnership with the UK Media Monitoring Association (UKMMA).

UKMMA’s objective is to ensure the interests of the PR and communications industry, in relation to UK copyright, are protected and to work with Rights Owners to enable a transparent, consistent, and equitable relationship which supports the development of the PR and communications industry.

The partnership between the two bodies will include co-promotion of events, along with providing speaking opportunities at each other’s events, where appropriate; UKMMA joining the PRCA CPD Board; the PRCA actively advising members to look for UKMMA membership when appointing media intelligence partners.

Francis Ingham MPRCA, Director General, PRCA, said: “We are very pleased to forge this new relationship with UKMMA, an association which provides a hugely important role within the UK media intelligence community.  Alongside our long-standing mutual deep relationship with AMEC, our work together will drive forward our industry’s work in this vital area.”

Jerry Ward FAMEC, Chair, UKMMA, said: “We believe our strategic partnership with the PRCA will bring significant benefits to the PR industry, providing a consistent platform for communications professionals to engage with Rights Owners to the mutual benefit of all concerned and UKMMA looks forward to working with the PRCA and its members.”
