The RepTrak™ Company, the world’s leading provider of reputation data and insights, and Dynata, the world’s largest first-party consumer data company, announced a global study focused on how public perceptions of industries and global issues are shifting in response to rising economic and societal pressures.
“This study represents the first step in our shared mission to empower companies with more complete, actionable intelligence,” said Mark Sonders, CEO of The RepTrak Company. “Dynata’s scale and precision, combined with RepTrak’s proprietary measurement framework, create a new level of insight into how people think, feel, and act in today’s landscape.”
The study coincides with a strategic new partnership between RepTrak and Dynata. The collaboration brings together two category leaders—RepTrak in reputation measurement and insights, and Dynata, the largest research-grade, first-party data company. This partnership seeks to provide organizations with an integrated approach to brand and reputation management—two critical, yet often siloed, dimensions of stakeholder data.
“When companies mitigate risk, they count on RepTrak’s insights to guide important brand decisions. Dynata is the leading provider of first-party data, and we take pride in being the trusted partner that provides the high-quality data that informs these mission-critical decisions,” said Mike Petrullo, CEO of Dynata.
Key Study Findings:
Conducted in April 2025 across 10 countries in the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific, the research examines how current issues, such as cost of living, trade tariffs, social injustice, climate change, and artificial intelligence, are shaping corporate reputation across 13 industries. Key findings include:
-
Economic anxiety is highest in the USA and Brazil, followed by Mexico and Canada, due to consumer concerns about inflation and the cost of living.
-
51% of the general public across the countries surveyed cite deep concerns about trade tariffs.
-
In 8 of the 10 markets surveyed, people are pessimistic about their country’s economic outlook.
-
In terms of reputation, technology leads all industries, while insurance ranks the lowest.
-
The quality of “Made in the USA” products is viewed more favorably than those made in China, except in China itself.
