Asda accelerates plastic reduction commitments to end of 2020

Almost a third of Asda’s own-brand plastic packaging will come from recycled materials by the end of next year, under new commitments set out by the supermarket to reduce its plastic use. Growing green: Asda herbs go plastic-free

Asda has announced it will be launching a supermarket first – a range of plastic-free living herbs. All of Asda’s living herbs, which are currently sold in a plastic pot with a plastic wrap, will be moving into a new, more sustainable container called a ‘plug’.
