194 Member States of World Health Organisation formally adopted an extension to the Global Action Plan on dementia until 2031. Football chiefs have teamed up with The Sporting Memories Foundation to produce a guide to help former players diagnosed with dementia. Salvation Army launches group singing programme for people living with dementia

The Salvation Army has launched a dynamic programme for people with dementia which uses singing to help them connect with others and bring back memories.  The scheme, called Singing By Heart, uses a mix of popular hymns, such as ‘Joy in my Heart’, and popular songs like ‘Moon River’, which span the decades.
