The Prince’s Trust has a received a major gift of £10m from Julia and Hans Rausing to support its ambitious goals for young people in London.
The generous donation will underpin The Trust’s strategic aims for its work in London, aiming to grow the number of young people supported in the capital to over 10,000 annually by 2023.
The donation will give considerable support to two key elements of activity in London over the next four years, enabling it to reach young people aged 11-30 who need support.
The Trust is investing in a new London Centre, creating a vibrant space in South London for young people to gain confidence and skills to live, learn and earn. It will enable the organisation to better tackle the challenges faced by young people growing up in London currently.
The donation will also enable The Trust to enhance and increase its work with young people in the capital to help those at risk of being impacted by, or getting involved in, serious violence. By supporting our Amplified initiative, the gift will help amplify the voices of positive, relatable role models, and direct young people to free, alternative activities in their local area. It will also enable The Trust to bolster its early intervention provision to school-aged young people.
