All Hi Fly flights single-use plastic free become reality

From January 1, 2020, as pledged by Hi Fly President Paulo Mirpuri in 2018, all Hi Fly’s own flights are taking to the air without any single-use plastic items on board. The leading wet-lease carrier has worked hard to replace plastic with bamboo cutlery, cups, spoons, and salt and pepper shakers, while packaging for bedding, dishes, individual butter pots, soft drink bottles and toothbrushes were switched with compostable alternatives crafted from recycled material. Equinor aims to cut emissions in Norway towards near zero in 2050

Equinor launches new climate ambitions to reduce the absolute greenhouse gas emissions from its operated offshore fields and onshore plants in Norway by 40% by 2030, 70% by 2040 and to near zero by 2050. Charity Bank launches its State of the Sector report

The social sector is feeling the pressure of meeting an increase in demand for services, while dealing with widespread budget cuts, research from Charity Bank reveals. Charity Bank polled 182 social sector leaders for its State of the Sector report, released today, and found that 85% of charities expect demand for their services to grow over the next two years.
