Charity Retail Association and Wil-U, Launch Volunteering Matching Service

The Charity Retail Association  in collaboration with Wil-U, have launched an initiative to help match potential volunteers with charity shops when they reopen on or after the 15th June. From today, members of the public who are potentially interested in volunteering can go to www.charityshopvolunteer.org.uk and sign up in a very simple and short process. More than £4m awarded to redistribution organisations in England

The first wave of funding under the COVID-19 Emergency Surplus Food Grant is announced today, as WRAP confirms details of 89 not-for-profit organisations across England receiving much needed assistance.  The COVID-19 Emergency Surplus Food Grant was launched in early April in response to the immediate challenges faced by food redistributors as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.
